Job Overview:
This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring robust, effective, and compliant internal control practices across Asia Pacific operations.
The position contributes to the broader corporate governance framework for Asia Pacific offices by managing internal control functions, promoting audit and action item resolution, providing regulatory compliance education, ensuring data protection responsibilities, leading Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) activities, and facilitating risk management.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage internal control functions for Asia Pacific offices, ensuring efficient, effective, and compliant processes.
- Establish and maintain internal control systems and guidelines tailored to the needs of Asia Pacific offices.
- Regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness and application of internal controls, compliance procedures, and documentation generation.
Audit and Action Item Resolution:
- Review responses to internal audit results and ensure recommendations are implemented effectively.
- Resolve action items from audits promptly and document them accordingly.
Regulatory Compliance Education:
- Provide compliance training through issuing internal compliance updates and training materials.
Data Protection:
- Ensure data protection processes comply with local regulations and organizational policies.
Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC):
- Lead GRC activities for Asia Pacific offices and align practices with company strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
Risk Management:
- Report risk management issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate Business Continuity Plan, ensuring it remains up-to-date and comprehensive.
- Develop risk-based compliance programs to facilitate compliance reviews and monitoring.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of up-to-date laws and regulations.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Japanese language skill is an advantage.
