Job Description

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee our Manufacturing Sciences department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the team, driving results and deliverables, and supporting site and global objectives.

This role requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage and motivate a team, drive process improvement initiatives, and make strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and experience in large scale new product introduction, technology transfer, biologics manufacturing, and process validation.

The Head of Manufacturing Sciences will also be responsible for establishing a lean and efficient organization, leading process improvement programs, and innovative technologies. This includes acting as an interface with the Global Manufacturing Sciences community and contributing to the local Senior Leadership Team of the site.

In addition, the Head of Manufacturing Sciences will be responsible for process monitoring and the fulfillment of all quality systems and policies as process owner. They will also support all departments, act as a process/product technical subject matter expert, and contribute to projects, investigations, and problem-solving.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or Biochemical Engineering, with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's/PhD degree with 8 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of compliance guidelines and experience in interacting with regulatory authorities and official bodies such as FDA, EMA, etc.
  • Experience in small scale requirements to support site manufacturing activities, new product introduction, product characterization, and small-scale validation
  • Experience in large scale requirements for new product introduction, technology transfer, biologics manufacturing, and process validation
