Job Title: Volunteer Management Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Volunteer Management Professional. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing volunteer management strategies that support the Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard-of-hearing community.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You should also have a strong desire to continuously learn and develop, as well as experience in working or volunteering in social services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit, onboard, and engage volunteers to support the Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard-of-hearing communities.
• Develop and oversee programmes involving volunteers, such as community outreach and event support. Collaborate with relevant departments to schedule and assign volunteers to support programmes and events effectively.
• Plan and manage budgets for volunteer programmes, ensuring efficient allocation of financial resources while achieving programme goals.
• Coordinate with the Engagement Department to secure funding, grants, and sponsorships for volunteer initiatives.
• Facilitate and coordinate training to equip volunteers with the skills needed to support the community.
• Develop strategies to enhance the development and retention of volunteers.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, monitor programme effectiveness, gather feedback, and implement improvements to enhance outcomes.
• Provide periodic reports to analyse effectiveness of volunteer engagement and to ensure transparency and accountability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Good communication skills - written, visual, in person.
• Strong desire to continuously learn and develop.
• Ability to work independently, be adaptable, and manage ambiguity.
• Proficiency in working with digital tools, including Google Workspace and Salesforce.
• Experience in working or volunteering in social services is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) is an advantage - all staff are given training and are required to complete SgSL Level 1.
