Home-Based Childminder Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home-Based Childminder to join our team. As an Infant Childminder based at your own home, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care for infants in our program.

About the Role:

This position requires a nurturing and attentive individual who is passionate about working with young children. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of each infant under your supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Care Provision: Provide attentive and nurturing care in a home-based setting.
  • Environment Creation: Create a safe and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development of each infant.
  • Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper hygiene practices and safe sleep guidelines.
  • Engagement and Development: Engage infants in age-appropriate activities to encourage sensory exploration, language development, and motor skills.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's daily activities, feeding, and sleeping routines.
  • Needs Response: Respond promptly to the needs of each infant, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as required.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Medical Fitness: Be medically fit to care for 1 to 3 infants/children aged 2 months to 18 months.
  • Experience: Preferably with experience in caring for children.
  • Safe Environment: Have a child-safe environment, e.g., window grilles or window limiters.
  • Education: Hold a minimum 'O' level or secondary school qualifications.
  • Certification: Those with infant care certification are highly preferred.

  • Timing: Work from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • Nanny Location: Preferred nanny location in Dakota, Geylang, Aljunied, Mountbatten, Outram, or Cantonment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent childcare skills and the ability to work independently. Key skills include:

  • Childcare: Proven experience in caring for children.
  • Child Development: Knowledge of child development principles.
  • Supervising Children: Ability to supervise and manage groups of children.
  • Infant Care: Expertise in caring for infants.
  • Attentive: Excellent attention to detail and ability to respond promptly to infant needs.
  • Wellbeing: Understanding of the importance of promoting infant wellbeing.
  • Teaching Children: Ability to engage infants in learning activities.
  • Babysitting: Experience in babysitting.
  • Able To Work Independently: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Home Care: Expertise in providing home-based care.
