About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned IT Service Manager to lead our support services for GIS customers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in service management processes and procedures, with a proven track record of meeting customer service level agreements and maintaining customer satisfaction.


Main Responsibilities
  • Oversight of support services to GIS customers for specific IT services or sets of services.
  • Adherence to service management processes and procedures to meet customer service level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Completing root cause analysis of outages or incident trends, often working with managed services partners.
  • Approval of preventative actions.
  • Developing plans to implement recommendations to improve or change technology using monitoring data analysis of specific IT services or sets of services for availability and performance.
  • Managing complex problems and outages which are escalated from other team members.
  • Serving as technical subject matter expert.
  • Configuration of IT technology and execution of complex changes while following standard operating procedures and change/release management policies.
  • Collaboration with vendors and management to develop plans for the life cycle of the product.
  • Ensuring that the service/product meets customer needs and initiating training, documentation and marketing to improve the full value of the service/product being realized.
  • Representation of IT Service for change management and enterprise architecture discussions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field.
  • Interpretation of internal/external business challenges and recommendation of best practices to improve products, processes or services.
  • Leadership of functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Problem solving skills, including leading others to solve complex problems and using sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
  • Impact on the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work guided by functional policies.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
