Cocoa Derivatives Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our cocoa derivatives team in APAC.
About the Role- Develop and implement a derivatives strategy for the APAC cocoa business, encompassing structure exposure, hedging, and proprietary trading.
- Contribute to global sourcing and risk management strategy calls.
- Manage the risk of hedge and proprietary trading books.
- Implement strategies using financial tools to manage regional cash flows and optimize risk exposure.
- Represent the region as subject matter expert on cocoa market intelligence.
- Lead a team of traders in managing risk positions through effective hedging solutions.
- Manage risk positions to lower cost inputs and impact sales prices.
- Responsible for generating revenue through proprietary trading.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
- Fluent written and spoken English, and preferably a second language.
- Experience with computer systems like Python, R, and Microsoft Office.
- Project management experience and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven track record of profit and loss ownership.
- Strong understanding of commodities markets and agriculture industry.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in commodity trading and operations.
- Strong industry network and clients.
- Excellent business communication skills.
- Keen sense of data analytics and interpretation.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver in a high-pressure environment.
