Overview of the Position
A Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and machinery within a hotel are well-maintained and in good working condition. This role requires a high level of mechanical and electrical knowledge as well as excellent troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities of the Job
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment and machinery. Additionally, they will be responsible for identifying and reporting any potential safety hazards or issues with equipment or facilities. They must also assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure maximum efficiency of equipment and facilities. Furthermore, they may be required to participate in emergency response situations such as fire-fighting and safety exercises.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the Facilities Maintenance Specialist must possess basic skills in maintaining, trouble-shooting, and repairing building equipment. They should have a sound knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical/Building Engineering principles and practices. Additionally, they should have basic electrical control trouble-shooting skills and be proficient in using various tools and equipment common to the trade.

Additional Requirements
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist must also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors. They should be able to follow instructions and procedures accurately and efficiently, as well as demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing priorities and demands.
