Student Engagement Manager

\

Manage a variety of events including engagement, social, and educational events to promote student involvement and excitement.

\

We are seeking a highly skilled Event Coordinator who can plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale events. If you have experience in event management, communication, and teamwork, we encourage you to apply.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing Event Concepts: Create engaging and relevant event themes, schedules, and objectives that align with our student outreach goals.\
  • Coordinating Events: Work closely with our team to ensure seamless event execution, including venue selection, catering, programming, and guest management.\
  • Managing Budgets: Oversee event expenses, execute procurement contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveness of expenditures.\
  • Representing the Organization: Represent us during outreach activities and conduct talks to convey our value proposition.\
  • Collaborating with Teams: Work effectively with various departments and external partners to engage prospective students and deepen our relationships with target markets.\
  • Maintaining Quality Service: Deliver high standards of customer service based on internal communication procedures and standard operating guidelines.\
  • Providing Administrative Support: Complete general administrative duties required to support the Admissions team, SET department, and SUTD management.\
  • Contributing to Strategy Planning: Contribute to Admissions team planning for the whole admissions journey, analyze admissions data, and track effectiveness of outreach/engagement efforts.\
  • Piloting New Ideas: Continually pilot new ideas to evolve SUTD's admissions strategy.\
  • Fulfilling Requirements: Possess a recognized degree from a university, possess strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, able to multi-task and work independently, and have flexibility to work selected weekends and after hours when needed.\
  • Bonus Skills: One or more of the following will also be useful: understanding the undergraduate education landscape, having a good understanding of industries which SUTD students are employed in, design/systems-thinking experience, knowledge and skills of database and IT systems.\
