Job Title: AV Engineer

Key Responsibilities include leading presales demos, following up on leads, building networks, and managing partner/supplier relationships.

  • Meet clients to understand needs and concerns.
  • Present on behalf of the company at meetings or conferences.
  • Handle complaints and perform on-site troubleshooting.
  • Prepare quotations and track purchase orders.
  • Work with suppliers, vendors, distributors, resellers, and manufacturers on quotes; negotiate pricing.

Additional Key Responsibilities include gathering customer/prospect feedback and sharing with internal teams. The successful candidate will also lead AV initiatives and advise on procurement, review schematic drawings by colleagues, provide planning and layout advice, help procure AV hardware/software, ensure project readiness, plan and track timelines, manage equipment storage and transport, perform rack-and-stack, on-site installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair for AV, networking, and in-house projects at customer sites.

  • Do electrical wiring, trunking, programming, and basic setup (ladder use may be required).
  • Manage, test, and commission CCTV, ELV (extra-low voltage), Bluetooth, and other devices.
  • Complete testing, configuration, staging, and upgrades on schedule.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Attend service calls for equipment faults.
  • Provide on-site support and user training.
  • Create and update user guides and other documentation.
  • Follow up with Finance on costing and billing.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in AV presales or systems integration.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to plan timelines, coordinate storage/transport of equipment, track progress, and close projects on schedule.
