The Head of Therapy Services is a senior leadership role that plays a pivotal part in the Allied Professional Hub. This position oversees the operations and strategic direction of therapy services, ensuring quality delivery and fostering collaboration internally and externally for the betterment of clients.

This role leads a team of therapists and psychologists, working closely with the Director to review strategic initiatives, monitor service administration, manage resources, and ensure adherence to service standards.

Critical Work Functions
  • Ensure Operational Efficiency and Service Quality
  • Develop work plans for departments, aligning with organisational goals
  • Develop and implement quality assurance measures to ensure adherence to service standards, performance indicators, and operating guidelines
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies for continuous enhancement

Uplift Professional Practice in Therapy Services

This involves leading the AP Team for a collaborative and person-centred/family centred approach to therapeutic planning, intervention, and evaluation, working with the teaching team through:

  • Coordinating the work of therapists to monitor deployment, progress, and outcomes
  • Planning and coordinating case discussion and other activities for timely and effective assessment, planning, monitoring, and evaluation

Caseload Management:

Manage the caseload of therapists and psychologists as per guidelines and work plans, endorsing revisions when changes and deviations from guidelines are required.

Manage Change

Support the Director in conceptualising, planning, and driving strategic initiatives that advance group outcomes and contribute to overall strategies for achieving mission and vision.

Regularly review and revise strategies and tactics in response to internal and external developments, adopting a responsive and agile strategic approach.

People Development

Support the cultivation of agency values, vision, and mission within the team, working with Clinical Leads to develop and implement structures and processes for professional and personal development.

Ensure quality monitoring and supervision of team members meet governing bodies' and professions' standards.

Job Requirements

  • Recognised degree or Master's in a relevant discipline
  • Registered with AHPC or Singapore Psychological Society
  • Minimum 12 years post-qualification experience, preferably in AP roles with persons with disabilities and at least 5 years in SPED settings
  • Demonstrated ability in administering programs and managing teams
  • Only Singaporeans and PRs
