Job Title: Community Development Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead our outreach and partnership building initiatives across various projects. The successful candidate will work closely with programme teams to develop responsive engagement strategies that foster strong relationships with residents, volunteers, partners, and community organisations.

This role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing activities, workshops, and events that promote social cohesion and youth development.

To achieve this, the Community Development Coordinator must possess excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, as well as be comfortable with public speaking and storytelling.

The ideal candidate will have experience in volunteer management and event coordination, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and preferably, experience in the social sector, particularly with at-risk youth, ex-inmates, or socially disadvantaged communities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement outreach and engagement strategies that promote social cohesion and youth development.
  • Work closely with programme teams to plan, coordinate, and oversee activities, workshops, and events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, volunteers, partners, and community organisations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and inclusivity within the team and with external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, youth work, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in community engagement, outreach, or programme management.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and storytelling.
  • Experience in volunteer management and event coordination.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Preferably, experience in the social sector, particularly with at-risk youth, ex-inmates, or socially disadvantaged communities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Competent in data management to track programme success rate metrics.
  • Familiarity with strengths-based and community development approaches.
