Database Solutions Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Database Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, develop and deliver data solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration and engineering, with experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day tasks and activities in coordination with a team of developers/clients to effectively meet the deliverables and schedule of a data solution component within a larger application project.

You will also provide support to various business and technology teams as necessary during design, development and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions. Additionally, you will support and maintain data and database systems to meet business delivery specifications and needs.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL Database Administration & Engineering
  • Three years of experience working in the IT sector
  • Familiarity with data-preprocessing, data pipeline, and data wrangling is preferred
  • Strong aspiration to build career & become expert in database engineering
  • Able to speak, read & write fluently in English
  • Will to invest time & lots of effort to become Subject Matter Expert & achieve excellence in Database technology & Data management
  • Open-minded & willing to work hard in a small team culture environment where everyone respects each other
  • Willing to go on client site when required
  • Independent & reliable
  • Ability to work from home comfortably & confidently when not onsite
