Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Engineer to join our team. As a Database Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering data solutions that meet the needs of our business. This includes architecture design, prototyping of concepts, development of standards, design and development of test plans, code and module design, development and testing, data solution debugging, and implementation of solutions that follow efficient design techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks and activities in coordination with a team of developers/clients to effectively meet deliverables and schedule of a data solution component within a larger application project.
  • Provide support to various business and technology teams as necessary during design, development, and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions.
  • Maintain data and database systems to meet business delivery specifications and needs.
  • Participate in onsite support from time to time for a 24x7 maintenance arrangement.

Requirements
We are looking for an individual with preferably one year experience in Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL Database Administration & Engineering. Three years of experience working in the IT sector is also required. Familiarity with data preprocessing, data pipeline, and data wrangling is preferable. A strong aspiration to build a career and become an expert in database engineering is essential. Fluency in English language (reading, writing, and speaking) is required. Willingness to invest time and effort to become Subject Matter Expert and achieve excellence in Database technology and Data management is expected. Open-mindedness and willingness to work hard in a small team culture environment where everyone respects each other are must-haves. Ability to work from home comfortably and confidently when not onsite is also necessary.
