Job Overview

This is a challenging opportunity to join our team as a Database Specialist.

As a Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting enterprise databases. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, tuning, and optimizing database performance to ensure stability and efficiency.

Key aspects of the job involve ensuring data security and reliability, managing user accounts and access control, and collaborating with developers and application teams to build effective database environments.

You will have the chance to work on capacity planning, performance testing, and database sizing activities, and contribute to developing and enforcing database standards and operating procedures.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, good communication skills, and experience working with automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in database administration with Oracle (primary), MariaDB, or Microsoft SQL Server.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of database design and administration in large-scale environments.
  • Experience with high-availability solutions (e.g., RAC clusters, Data Guard, replication tools).
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
