Job Title: Data Engineer

As a skilled professional in data engineering, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering efficient and scalable data solutions. Your expertise in database administration, data wrangling and IT operations will enable you to effectively manage day-to-day tasks, provide support to various business and technology teams, and maintain data and database systems.


Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and deliver / implement data solutions that include architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof of concept, development of standards, design and development of test plans, code and module design, development and testing, data solution debugging, design and implementation of a solution that follows efficient design techniques and development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the data solution.

  • Effectively manage day-to-day tasks / activities in coordination with a team of developers/clients to effectively meet the deliverables and schedule of a data solution component within a larger application project.

  • Give support to various business and technology teams as necessary during design, development and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions.

  • Support and maintain data and database systems to meet business delivery specifications and needs.

  • Part of a tag team to provide onsite support from time to time for a 24x7 maintenance arrangement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Preferably One(1) year experience in Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL Database Administration & Engineering.

  1. Have three(3) years experience working in IT sector.

  1. Preferably familiar in data-preprocessing, data pipeline, and data wrangling.

  1. Aspire strongly to build career & become expert in database engineering.

  1. Able to speak, read & write fluently in english.

  1. Willing to invest time & lots of effort to become Subject Matter Expert & achieve excellence in Database technology & Data management.

  1. Open minded & Willing to work hard in a small team culture environment where everyone respect each other.

  1. Willing to go on client site when required.

  1. Independent & reliable.

  1. Must be able to work from home comfortably & confidently when not onsite.
