Senior Genetic Variant Analyst

This is a critical position in our research initiatives, responsible for supporting the identification, classification and interpretation of genetic variants.
- We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support our research efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to assist in the identification, classification and interpretation of genetic variants.
- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to work independently to ensure the accuracy, consistency and proper documentation of data.
- Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for preparing reports of NGS test results, updating and managing variant data in database, classifying variants using available guidelines, preparing analysis data for interpretation and performing comprehensive review of scientific literature.
- The Key Specialist will also be responsible for keeping records of variant analysis, assisting in preparing reports or presentations on curated variants, helping with the preparation of manuscripts or research papers and providing administrative and management support.
- Other responsibilities include coordinating educational programs, multidisciplinary meetings with partners, collection and processing of laboratory samples and preparation of grant review reports and submission of claims.
Work Environment:
- The job requires working in a typical medical testing laboratory environment, which involves exposure to infectious and hazardous specimens or materials.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in Life Sciences/Health Sciences or related field.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized and meticulous in performing tasks.
