Job Title: Genetic Counsellor

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Genetic Counsellor to join our team. This is a permanent role that offers a competitive salary package, including $4500 per month plus additional benefits.

Job Description:

This role involves delivering comprehensive genetic counselling services for patients referred to the cardiovascular genetics service. As a Genetic Counsellor, you will manage patient intakes, analyse genetic variants, coordinate testing processes, and deliver clear counselling guidance. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary medical team to handle referrals, contribute to research initiatives, and provide genetic education to healthcare professionals.

This position requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and high standards of patient confidentiality and ethical practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive genetic counselling services for patients referred to the cardiovascular genetics service
  • Analyse genetic variants and coordinate testing processes
  • Manage patient intakes and deliver clear counselling guidance
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary medical team to handle referrals and contribute to research initiatives
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Genetic Counselling (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years' relevant clinical experience with demonstrated competency in genetic counselling
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with experience in MS office, databases, presentations and pedigree drawing software
