Expert in Data Center Thermal Management

This role involves designing, fabricating, modifying, and evaluating complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems, and systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in leading the design and development of advanced refrigeration and HVAC systems for data centers.
The position requires providing technical leadership in the application of CO transcritical systems for sustainable and efficient cooling. Additionally, the individual will perform thermal load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layout planning.
Collaboration with electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and field service engineers is essential to ensure integrated and optimized cooling solutions. Conducting feasibility studies, energy modeling, and performance simulations are also key responsibilities.
The successful candidate will oversee installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Preparation of detailed technical documentation, specifications, and reports is a crucial aspect of this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 5 years of related experience.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
- Indepth knowledge of data center thermal management, including CRAC/CRAH units, liquid cooling, and airflow management.
- Hands-on experience with CO transcritical refrigeration systems and natural refrigerants.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
