As a Technical Superintendent at JONDAVIDSON PTE. LTD., you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out repair, maintenance, and servicing of vessels as instructed by the Technical Manager.
  • Negotiate with Class Surveyors to arrange surveys on board vessels and report back to the Technical Manager.
  • Advise the Master and Chief Engineer on planned maintenance and work assignments for the ship's staff, coordinating these activities.
  • Inspect vessel machinery spaces for cleanliness and maintenance progress made by the ship's staff.
Responsibilities

1. Vessel Operations: Superintend technical and safety aspects of Company vessels in accordance with company policies.

2. Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out vessel maintenance and repairs as per instructions from the Technical Manager.

3. Negotiations and Reporting: Conduct negotiations with Class Surveyors for vessel surveys and submit reports to the Technical Manager.

4. Crew Coordination: Coordinate maintenance and work assignments with the ship's staff under the guidance of the Master and Chief Engineer.

5. Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of vessel machinery spaces to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards.

RequirementsQualifications:
  • COC Class 1 or 2 holder with sailing experience on oil tankers.
  • At least one year's experience as a Technical Superintendent in ship management operations.
  • Foreign-going Chief Engineer with sea experience preferred.
Skillset:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to handle multiple projects with good organizational skills.
  • Analytical, independent, results-oriented, resourceful, and proactive individual.
