Job Description

  • Integrate state-of-the-art imaging, microscopy, and spectroscopy solutions in advanced research projects involving materials chemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology.
  • Manage a suite of advanced microscopy and spectroscopy infrastructure, including STED super-resolution microscopy, time-resolved spinning disc confocal fluorescence microscopy, Total Internal reflection fluorescence microscopy, dark field microscopy, optical, Raman, and fluorescence spectroscopy, fluorescence correlation spectroscopy, and fluorescence lifetime imaging.
  • Analyse microscopy images and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy data, and develop analysis pipelines.
  • Monitor high-end optical microscopes, troubleshoot technical issues, and liaise with external vendors on repairs and servicing.
  • Develop advanced microscopy and spectroscopy capabilities at IDMxS to meet the demands of research projects, source new technologies, and implement novel techniques.
  • Stay up-to-date on AI-driven image analyses and software developments.
  • Publish research in scientific journals.
  • Apply for competitive research funding and manage funded research projects.
  • Mentor junior researchers and students in optical microscopy, spectroscopy, and related data analysis.
