Job Title: Product Category Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Product Category Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in category management, merchandising, and inventory control.

Job Description:

The Product Category Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing product category strategies that drive sales growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Assist in formulating and executing category plans aimed at increasing sales, profitability, and market presence.
  • Manage vendor relationships, product sourcing, pricing negotiation, execution of supplier agreements, delivery timeline, house-brand initiatives, and payments.
  • Help monitor stock levels to ensure product availability while minimizing out-of-stock situations through efficient inventory management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Fast learner, adaptable, proactive, and eager to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Good command of English, Chinese, and Cantonese. Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask with speed and manage assortments, promotions, and deadlines.
  • 2-4 years of experience in retail or FMCG, preferably with exposure to category management, buying, or merchandising.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams and with suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and proficient in analyzing sales data, market trends, and using tools like Excel.
