Product Category Specialist Role

Job Overview:

  • This role entails crafting and implementing strategic plans for assigned categories to drive business growth, enhance market share, customer satisfaction, and productivity performance metrics.
  • Achieve category sales, profit, and revenue targets via business plan development and execution.
  • Maintain strong supplier partner relationships in pursuit of business expansion.
  • Manage international product sourcing to meet local customer demands effectively.
  • Develop and implement promotional trade strategies to boost sales and profitability.
  • Conduct periodic range reviews to maximise sales and profitability performance.
  • Establish collaborative retailer/supplier partnerships to optimise income/terms/discounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a competitive pricing strategy that delivers value to customers.
  • Lead initiatives pertaining to assigned projects independently.
  • Review buying effectiveness to improve sales and profitability.
  • Partner with Commercial Heads and stakeholders in key strategic planning.
  • Extract and prepare weekly analysis reports for Senior Management.
  • Participate in a culture of learning, teamwork, and sharing internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in product category management or related field.
  • Negotiation, Strategic Planning, Sales, Supply Chain, Relationship Management, Pricing Strategy, Administration, Product Category Management, and Customer Satisfaction skills.
