Crewing Operations Specialist

Overview:

This role involves overseeing the crewing process, including recruitment, interview management, and maintaining accurate records in the crewing system.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Interview Management: Collaborate with external agencies to recruit seafarers, manage senior officer interviews, and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Crew Change Coordination: Manage visa processing, flight arrangements, and collaborate with manning and port agents for seamless transitions.
  • Document Validation and Compliance: Review certification, validate documents, and ensure compliance with minimum safe manning standards.
  • Rotation Planning and Reporting: Monitor expiration of seafarers' certificates, track crew rotation plans, schedules, and lists, and ensure timely completion and uploading of crew appraisal reports.
  • Portal Submission and Invoice Validation: Submit crew sign-on/off information via the MPA DigitPort portal and validate crew-related invoices for transparency.
  • Support Functions: Perform other tasks assigned by the Crewing Manager to support team objectives.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree in any discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in crewing/manning within the maritime industry.
  • Soft Skills: Pleasant personality with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized, proactive, and able to take initiative, with the ability to multitask and work independently under pressure.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to efficiently manage tasks and data.
