Job Title: Assistant Manager, Collections

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager, Collections will be responsible for leading a team of Collections Specialists and providing guidance in day-to-day operations. He/ she reports to the Head of Credit Control and Collections and supports him in all matters concerning Accounts Receivable and collection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned debtors portfolio.
  • Lead and supervise a team of Collections Specialists in day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct monthly debtors reviews with various BA/ LOB if necessary.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve billing disputes and other customer issues.
  • Achieve key performance indicators set by the Management.
  • Evaluate and optimize the performance of Collections Specialists.
  • Responsible for monthly/quarterly/yearly and ad hoc collection reports.
  • Review unallocated receipts and assist in reconciliation of customer payments.
  • Liaise with internal & external auditors for audit queries.
  • Any other duties and projects assigned by the Management.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience with 3 years in supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of credit control process and debt collection legal requirements.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Clear, persuasive verbal and written communication.
  • Proven track records in delivering results.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work collaboratively with different stakeholders.
  • Proficient in SAP and MS Office.
  • Experience in other Collections tools will be an advantage.
