This role plays a key part in growing and retaining customer relationships by understanding their financial goals and needs. You will be responsible for recommending deposit, loan, and other banking products and services that meet their requirements.
As a Financial Relationship Banker, you will:
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues effectively.
- Proactively identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, and sourcing referrals from customers, bank colleagues and partners.
- Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong internal partnerships.
- Educate customers on how to optimize their use of bank technology (online, mobile, and ATM banking).
- Maintain knowledge of all products, services, technology, and policies.
- Adhere to operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you should have a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience in customer service and sales in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales experience. A bachelor's degree and more experience are preferred.
Apart from excellent communication skills, you should also have the ability to build, deepen, and retain relationships, as well as demonstrate acumen in banking, sales, investments, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, customer service, and presentation skills.
