Job Overview

The role of a Junior Service Technician involves servicing and repairing material handling equipment, as well as providing excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Analyse and diagnose issues on material handling equipment, rectifying problems efficiently.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs on equipment and components.
  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure.
  • Modify and commission new equipment, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Communicate effectively with site customers and internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Follow supervisor instructions and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Provide support and guidance to new colleagues in the technical field.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in software applications relevant to the role.
  • Able to speak and write English fluently.
  • Possess a valid Class 3 or 3A driving license for operating vans.
  • Hold a Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering.
  • At least two years' experience in a technical field such as MHE, cranes, marine equipment, or industrial vehicles.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 6:00pm
