Biomedical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to healthcare staff in the setup, operation, servicing, and decommissioning of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to healthcare staff in the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment.
  • Oversee external service providers and contractors carrying out equipment maintenance, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to relevant standards.
  • Gather and update user feedback on the upkeep, performance, dependability, and overall quality of medical devices.
  • Inspect, analyze, and troubleshoot reported faults, complaints, or safety issues, and support engineers in developing and executing corrective actions.
  • Ensure all maintenance work meets required standards, industry best practices, and departmental quality initiatives.
  • Manage spare parts and frontline technical support inventory, assisting with documentation when needed.
  • Support engineers in coordinating medical equipment projects with external vendors, contractors, and consultants.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Electronics or Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant practical experience in a healthcare environment is an advantage.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and ability to work with staff at all levels.
  • Basic proficiency in IT applications.
