We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer Leader to join our team.

Job Description

This role involves overseeing the entire HVAC design process and working as a technical expert on specialized design projects within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medical Device industries.

The successful candidate will work independently on various projects assigned by the Discipline Director or a Project Manager. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing project requirements, breaking projects into tasks, and collaborating with Project Managers to determine the scope of work while ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Developing scopes of work for mechanical designs based on preliminary reviews and client meetings.
  • Preparing engineering studies and schematic designs for new HVAC systems and analyzing the operation of existing systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in proven HVAC designs within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medical Device industries. A Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university is required, along with 5+ years of central utility plant design experience related to chilled water, condenser water, hot water, and steam systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • At least 15 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 10 years in proven HVAC designs within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medical Device industries.
  • A Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Working knowledge and expertise in energy analysis and simulation software systems.
  • Working knowledge and expertise in piping analysis and modeling software.
