Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Application Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills through meaningful work projects and learning opportunities.

This is a fantastic chance to build your career by working with our business development team to provide technical support to customers. You will be responsible for understanding customer requirements and demonstrating how composite based solutions can be utilized to provide solutions with costing, timing, and resources included in proposals.

As part of this role, you will travel with the business development team to customer facilities to discuss future opportunities in depth. You will work closely with engineering, sales, and ops staff to understand standard component fabrication techniques, standard composite materials to use, and current demands of our customers to formulate design details for the sales staff and our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide product technical engineering information by creating and giving presentations on customer proposals, including 3D representations of finished goods, 3D representations of tooling, etc.
  • Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, and other professional and technical personnel.
  • Conceptualize design of composite components and assemblies to support proposals, generate solid and surface component and assembly CAD models, compose detailed bill of materials for proposals, and work as part of a team of design and engineering and ops staff.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Process & Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Knowledge in PLC programming, Tridium Niagara software, and Tridium Niagara certification will be an advantage.
  • Transportation composite or other composite experience preferred.
