Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Quotation Specialist

A leading manufacturer seeks a skilled Quotation Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the engineering department, you will play a vital role in creating detailed quotations that meet customer requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer needs and project specifications to define project requirements.
  • Create accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, and other expenses.
  • Develop comprehensive quotations with technical descriptions, cost breakdowns, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure quotations align with company pricing strategies and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to assess project feasibility and identify optimal manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical support and project feasibility assessments to sales teams and clients.
  • Issue production drawings to support manufacturing operations.
  • Stay up-to-date on material costs, labor rates, and manufacturing technologies to refine cost estimation methods.


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in quotations or cost estimation roles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
