About the Role:The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering, with experience in operating and maintaining mission-critical facilities. As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our data centers. This includes inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various systems, such as electrical distribution, HVAC, and building management systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment in a data center environment.
- Prepare and execute operation procedures, respond to work requests/service failures, and provide operational and technical expertise in required areas.
- Improve site Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), operational efficiency, and minimize environmental impact.
- Provide tracking and trending operational characteristics, ensuring safety rules and regulations associated with operating infrastructure.
- An Associate's degree or equivalent practical experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical testing equipment or electrical distribution in an industrial or commercial environment.
- The ability to lift/move 23kg (50lb) of equipment as required, exert yourself physically over extended periods, including frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling, and lifting.
- The ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend, and holiday hours.
