The COMO Group is a leader in integrated retail services, celebrating diversity and authenticity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment as a Retail Sales Assistant at Culina.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cut meat products according to customers' orders by applying precise cutting techniques.
  • Roast meat, prepare hot deli, bento set, weigh, package, and price the meat to meet high standards of quality.
  • Maintain safe, clean work areas by thoroughly cleaning surfaces, equipment, food trays, floors, and removing rubbish.
  • Display safe, quality meat products and delicatessens for consumers' selection.
  • Ensure that all meat products meet quality standards for freshness that comply with Company regulations.
  • Assist customers with their meat selections, make recommendations, provide advice on various cuts, cooking methods to enhance sales.
  • Monitor inventory levels of meat products and replenish them promptly.
  • Handle meat products by complying with food safety and sanitation procedures established by government agencies and Company guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with retail assistants to ensure smooth operations at the counter and achieve customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Hold a GCE 'O' Level certificate or NITEC in Culinary Arts.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a meat cutter or butcher; proficient in meat cutting techniques and knowledge of meat cuts.
  • Develop good knife skills and familiarize yourself with meat cutting tools and equipment.
  • Possess good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Attend Basic Food Hygiene Handler Course, demonstrate good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills, be punctual at work, and take instructions from superiors.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Five-day workweek.
  • Work hours: AM Shift: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, PM Shift: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm (including public holidays).
  • Able to stand for extended periods in a retail air-conditioned environment.
