Biomedical Engineering Assistant

Description:

A biomedical engineering assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of biomedical equipment. Their primary responsibility is to perform scheduled preventive maintenance jobs, troubleshoot and repair breakdowns, and provide support to user departments with NGEMR related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing and completing scheduled preventive maintenance jobs for biomedical and scientific equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns jobs for biomedical and scientific equipment.
  • Assisting user departments with NGEMR related issues for biomedical and scientific equipment.
  • Ordering and expediting parts orders for breakdowns jobs.
  • Ensuring that scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdowns jobs are completed within the agreed-upon timeframe.
  • Liaising with user departments and biomedical and scientific equipment vendors to minimize disruptions to user operations.
  • Supporting user departments with their biomedical and scientific equipment inventory.
  • Attending technical training sessions on biomedical and scientific equipment arranged by the Training Coordinator.
  • Developing a solid understanding of IT, Cybersecurity, and EMR Integration related matters for biomedical and scientific equipment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum diploma in engineering or a related field.

This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
