Data Center Operations Specialist

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Data Center Customer Operations II to join our operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining critical facilities infrastructure and delivering best-in-class service to our data center customers. You will work closely with our operations and security personnel team to ensure seamless execution of tasks and projects.
Responsibilities- Queue Management / Reporting: Review work order requests in the queue, respond to semi-routine work orders, escalate and expedite orders to appropriate teams, and maintain detailed written records of all work activity.
- Installations: Rack and stack semi-routine customer equipment tickets, support intra-cage infrastructure installations, and perform tape changes and standard operating back-up changes.
- Cross-Connect: Support semi-routine datacenter standard operating cross-connect work order requests, ensure standard operating procedures are followed on cable management, and learn to install 'across' connect circuits under supervision.
- Testing / Troubleshooting: Support semi-routine standard operating testing and installations of customer assets, support standard operating procedures of layer 1 cross-connect certification testing, and learn non-standard operating testing under supervision.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Support operations and security personnel team for breaks or other activities, provide back-up assistance to team members, and support standard operating procedural tasks.
- Customer Management: Support customer satisfaction with timely adherence to following semi-routine execution order requirements, deliver a high level of service and an excellent customer experience, and provide support with time expectations on new deployments and existing alterations.
- Projects: Support fulfillment of projects that follow standard operating procedures, work under supervision if projects deviate from standard procedures, and support vendors on projects.
- Training: Complete all assigned training in a timely manner and may provide support to new hires.
- Typically requires a high school diploma and 1-2 years of equivalent work experience.
