Data Center Solutions Engineer

Job SummaryThe Customer Solutions Engineer will support the successful development and execution of a technical solutions program. This key sales solutions & engineering team member will demonstrate a track record of measurable sophisticated solutions and engineering experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide active support to internal RFP (request for proposal) process with Vantage teams, preparing project-specific RFP response spreadsheets, folder structures, and kick-off email drafts, and following up on subject matter expert responses.
- Support responses and documentation uploads to customer portals.
- Manage RFP notifications, exporting from customer portals, formatting into Vantage's response templates, following up with subject matter experts, and updating approved responses.
- Help develop customer-specific presentations.
- Design proposal templates incorporating Vantage's latest schematics, diagrams, and features.
- Develop all technical support for the sales team.
- Support work with client requirements regarding capacity needs and timing, coordinating those requirements with Vantage's capabilities.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to Solutions Engineering by building and growing the role to meet the needs of Vantage and its customers.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, design architectural overviews.
- Support discussions on detailed network, power, cooling, and space assessments of customer current and proposed IT environments.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Experience in designing critical infrastructure or Data centers will be a plus.
- Excellent organization skills, including document management.
- Positive attitude towards assigned tasks.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent PowerPoint presentation skills and a sense of aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with and present information to the team.
