Job Title:

Cost Management Professional

Manage project costs and contracts, including evaluating payment claims, conducting site measurements, and preparing budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents based on project drawings and specifications.
  • Review, draft, and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Evaluate and certify subcontractor and supplier payment claims.
  • Conduct on-site measurements to support progress claims and variation assessments.
  • Prepare valuation reports and progress claims.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project costs and control expenditures to stay within budget.
  • Implement value engineering strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for contracts, claims, and cost reports.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, procurement, and finance departments.
  • Support final account preparation and project close-out processes.
  • Attend site meetings, client briefings, and commercial reviews.
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the immediate superior or Head of Department.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, construction, or civil engineering.
  • Familiarity with underground utilities work is an advantage.
  • Strong project coordination and cost control skills, with a practical understanding of site operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and consultants.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
