Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for calculating the base manufacturing cost for all new projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with purchasing department to source standard items and obtain quotes from suppliers.
  • Evaluate and recommend product design changes to ensure easy and low-cost manufacturing.
  • Determine manufacturing processes to ensure competitive product cost estimation.
  • Liaise with customers to discuss process capability and material availability.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering field.
  • Able to read mechanical drawings.
  • 2-5 years' experience in cost estimation in sheetmetal industry.
  • Proficient in computer applications and MS Office software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as effective communication skills.
