Job Opportunity Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance, efficiency and safety of air conditioning systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform repairs and replacements as necessary, handle refrigerants, conduct leak checks, vacuum and charge units.
  • Verify system performance post-repairs or maintenance; record pressures, temperatures, amps and flows, and optimize setpoints for maximum effectiveness.
  • Interface with building management systems (BMS) where applicable; conduct input/output checks, sensor calibration and alarm investigation to ensure seamless operation.
  • Document service reports, checklists and photo records; propose corrective actions and parts, and close work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) on time.
  • Maintain a safe working environment adhering to workplace regulations, permits-to-work (PTW), lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and risk assessments/standard safe working practices.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to clients, provide quotations for repairs, upgrades or retrofits, and participate in duty rosters for after-hours support and urgent call-outs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Essential Skills:
    • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in operating various hand tools and equipment.
  • Desirable Qualifications:
    • Relevant trade certification or degree in a related field.
    • Previous experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
    • Basic understanding of building management systems (BMS).
