Job Title: Master Vehicle Technician

  • About the Role:
  • This role requires a highly skilled and experienced vehicle technician to oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring high-quality repairs and efficient maintenance of vehicles. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills and be able to effectively coordinate tasks, manage staff, and maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the allocation of work orders, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Develop action plans to improve quality and efficiency within the workshop.
  • Perform diagnosis and functional testing on complex vehicle issues.
  • Support technicians in improving their diagnostic and testing skills.
  • Conduct road tests with customers when necessary to identify issues.
  • Provide professional assistance and support to technicians on challenging repairs.
  • Oversight of workshop processes within the service department.
  • Management, guidance, and motivation of service department staff.
  • Monitoring the type and status of repair work.
  • Supervision of compliance with company policies and regulations among employees.
  • Organization of regular workshop meetings and maintenance of records.
  • Final inspection of body and paint repair vehicles.
  • Supervision of workshop cleanliness and proper disposal of waste.
  • Monitoring rework/redo cases, analyzing them regularly, and creating action plans.
  • Oversight and guidance of the work of workshop supervisors and conducting evaluations.
  • Monitoring workshop supervisors in managing repair time and processes.
  • Regular staff evaluations.
  • Supervision of internal trainers in staff training activities.
  • Reporting to the After-sales Manager.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a vehicle technician or in a similar leadership position.
  • A strong understanding of vehicle repair and maintenance principles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
