Job Description

You will join the Nanyang Technological University's Office of Development & Facilities Management team within the Renovation and Redecoration (R&R) department. Our work supports the university's academic, research, and administrative functions.

In this role, you will take a leading position in managing the renovation and upgrading of campus buildings and facilities as part of the R&R team.

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with expertise in project management, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. You should have experience in managing tender processes, contractor negotiations, and contract administration.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of project completion to ensure adherence to design requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Management of project teams and contractors to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions.
  • Leadership of collaboration with project consultants to develop cost estimates and prepare necessary documentation for budget approval and tender.
  • Tender process management, from bid solicitation and evaluation to contract award recommendations.
  • Management of project variation orders to ensure scope changes or site constraints are effectively assessed and controlled.
  • Regular monitoring of construction progress to ensure projects stay on schedule and identify potential issues.
  • On-site construction activity oversight to ensure work is carried out safely, at a high-quality level, and in compliance with design and regulatory standards.
  • Administration and enforcement of construction contracts, including managing payments, change orders, and other contractual obligations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Consultancy, Construction Management, Project Management, or Facilities Management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local regulations, building construction, building services design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Proven expertise in project management, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in managing tender processes, contractor negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
