Assistant Horticulture Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Horticulture Manager to join our team. As a key member of our horticulture department, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of our horticulture team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans for horticulture operations, including resource allocation and budgeting.
  • Lead and manage a team of horticulturists to achieve high-quality results and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of horticulture operations with other departments.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of plant materials and landscape supplies.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures aligned with organizational vision, mission, and values.
  • Participate in management meetings and site visits to discuss project progress and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum recognized degree in Botany, Horticulture, Forestry Science, Ecology, Environmental Science/Management, or Landscape Architecture.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in horticulture management.
  • Professional accreditation such as AIH Certified Practising Horticulturist or ISA certified Arborist is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment and travel as required.
