Early Childhood Centre Cleaning Professional

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an individual who is passionate about maintaining a clean and safe environment for young children.

  • Cleaning of classrooms, toilets, common areas, office, reception, parents' area, windows, doors, fans, shelves, cabinet, shoe racks, cubbies, children's tables and chairs, including dining area, to the highest standard.
  • Cleaning floor rugs, art and craft area, and soft covers to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Cleaning areas if children soil themselves in a prompt and discreet manner.
  • Clearing rubbish from classroom/office on a daily basis.
  • Washing of dishes and kitchen utensils to maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Maintaining and stock-taking cleaning supplies to ensure they are always available.
  • Assisting in the kitchen as needed, including preparing simple meals.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a childcare setting, demonstrating competence in cooking and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and proper cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with young children and adapt to their needs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with centre staff.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and moving around the centre.
  • Certificate in Food Handling and Safety is an advantage.
