Job Title: Culinary Education Specialist

Job Overview:

This position requires a Pastry Chef Instructor to provide training and instruction to students at all levels, delivering the program content in accordance with established criteria and policies. The instructor will champion student success and ensure that quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills and be able to communicate effectively with students. They will also be responsible for making recommendations on improvements to course delivery and suggesting ways to enhance the overall learning experience.

Responsibilities and Major Activities:

  • Prepare lessons in advance to meet curriculum requirements.
  • Provide high-quality experiential education to students, achieving high levels of student satisfaction.
  • Ensure students successfully complete their courses as per requirements.
  • Maintain academic standards of delivery in teaching and assessment, adhering to established criteria and policies.
  • Attend meetings and participate in line-ups as required.
  • Ensure accurate execution of student evaluations and grading processes.
  • Enforce safety procedures in the kitchen and promote high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
  • Promote participation in pastry or bakery competitions among students.
  • Serve as a role model to students and colleagues, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Provide faculty support to EasyChef Lab and License businesses when needed.
  • Support other business areas as required by management from time to time.
  • Cultivate and maintain industry relationships.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Preferably a degree in Culinary Arts or Pastry & Bakery or equivalent qualifications.
  • A minimum Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) is mandatory for this role.
  • English proficiency is required.
