Philanthropy Specialist

About this role:

This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced philanthropy professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of WWF's global conservation goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in high-value fundraising, with excellent relationship-building and stewardship skills.

We are looking for someone who can think creatively and strategically, with a passion for conservation and a deep understanding of the philanthropic sector.

About the Role

The Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a major donor strategy, identifying and cultivating new prospects, and securing significant funding commitments from individuals, foundations, and corporations.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, colleagues, and stakeholders.

They will also be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a major donor strategy, including prospect research and identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Manage the donor cycle, including tracking and monitoring prospects and donors through all phases.
  • Prepare and present compelling funding proposals to major gift prospects.
  • Research and write grants; provide timely reporting and ensure compliance as required with grant awards.
  • Design budget models and be accountable for achieving income targets.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline with excellent results. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in advisory, business development, philanthropy or environmental communications, project management, and/or fundraising, with proven success in Singapore.
  • Proven track record in high-value target achievement.
  • Outstanding verbal and written English expression, including an ability to craft language and tone for proposals, impact reports, newsletters, and other correspondences.
  • Experience in cultivating relationships and support effective stewardship of granting organisations and donors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
