**JOB DESCRIPTION** Introduction**

This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the Asia Philanthropy Center to counsel ultra-high-net-worth clients with philanthropic intent who are looking to increase impact, collaborate with others and implement strategic philanthropic programs.

**Job Summary**

As a Senior Philanthropy Advisor (Executive Director) in the Philanthropy Centre in Asia, you act as a thought leader in various sectors of philanthropy and the impact sphere. You will also provide information on emerging trends in philanthropy through publications and organized forums for peer-to-peer learning opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to new business development for wealth management, in collaboration with banking teams and product specialists by providing philanthropic advice. Work across a broad spectrum within the private bank, including: individuals and families; private foundations; and public charity endowments.
- Advise on best practices in philanthropic giving, including: trends in philanthropy; vision and mission statements; funding guidelines; operating procedures; best practices in due diligence, governance matters; succession issues; strategic grant making and impact measurement.
- Advise on family-led decision making and coaching of next generation family members, sharing best practices.
- Maintain a strong professional and community network both regionally and globally and broad understanding of the target market community to build and continue relationships with clients and prospects, connecting like-minded parties to each other where relevant.
- Plan, facilitate and speak at educational forums, sector gatherings and other client activities designed to highlight best practices in philanthropy and innovation in the sector.
- Lead/facilitate board trainings or meetings and discussions with clients and their families and teams.

**Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Asia in non-profit organization, foundation and/or related work.
- Creative problem-solving abilities that generate new ideas and can adjust to meet changing needs.
- Ability to connect with a broad range of perspectives.
- Strong leadership and clear judgment in addition to being a strong influencer and facilitator.
- Solid network in Asia with public and/ or private foundations, regional community organizations and notable Corporate Foundations.
- Ability to build trusting partnerships and relationships with internal stakeholders and external networks.
- Able to adapt to a fast paced corporate setting, as well as the ability and flexibility to work in a small team.
- Traveling is required regionally and/or internationally for business, as and when business needs arise.

**Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills**
- Prior experience in an advisory role with UHNW clients would be a plus.
- Strong written and verbal presentation in Chinese/Mandarin is highly preferred, as the role requires to work with UHNW clients in China and Taiwan.
