We are seeking a highly skilled procurement strategist to lead the sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization of critical materials and components for medical equipment manufacturing.

  • Sourcing Strategy Development:
    • Develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and components.
    • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, reliability, and pricing to maintain cost efficiency while meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Vendor Relationship Management:
    • Nurture strong relationships with suppliers to guarantee reliability, compliance, and flexibility in meeting changing business needs.
  • Cost Savings Initiatives:
    • Analyze market trends, conduct cost breakdowns, and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce excess stock and improve inventory turnover.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality, to source materials that meet design and regulatory requirements.
  • New Product Development Support:
    • Provide procurement expertise to support new product development by sourcing new items and ensuring cost optimization and manufacturability.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Implement process improvements to streamline procurement operations, enhance supplier collaboration, and drive business growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Material, or related field). MBA/Supply Chain certification is a plus.
  • 8-10 years in procurement/sourcing, preferably in medical devices, pharma, or a highly regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in supplier quality management. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficient in both English and Mandarin.
