Job Title: Procurement Strategist

This role requires a strong understanding of commercial supply chains within the market and the ability to drive down costs through negotiation, value engineering, logistics, and other innovative strategies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing quotations and negotiating prices with suppliers. They must possess meticulous attention to detail, be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent negotiation and sourcing skills.

  • Sourcing quotations and negotiating prices with suppliers
  • To drive down costs & ensure total cost competitiveness through negotiation, value engineering, logistics & other innovative strategies
  • Procurement of standard parts to support production needs according to customer requirements
  • Monitoring and expediting timely delivery of purchased parts
Key Responsibilities:

Negotiation: The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, with experience in sourcing quotations and negotiating prices with suppliers.

Value Engineering: They should be able to identify opportunities for cost savings and implement value engineering techniques to reduce costs.

Supply Chain Management: A good understanding of commercial supply chains within the market is essential, as well as the ability to manage relationships with suppliers.

Purchasing: The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing standard parts to support production needs according to customer requirements.

Requirements:

A minimum Diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain or equivalent is required, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

They must be a team player, able to work independently and confidently, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
