Databases are the backbone of software systems, and as a Database Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining robust database systems. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team in the Lavender Central Region and contribute to the seamless operation of our business-critical applications.The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and optimising database solutions to support diverse software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand complex business requirements and develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database objects. Additionally, you will perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution, participate in planning and implementation of database migrations, upgrades, and backups, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our database architecture and development processes.Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Specialist or Database Developer
  • Proficiency in SQL, database design, and optimisation techniques
  • Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
