Job Opportunity: Database Expert

A highly skilled Database Developer is required to design, develop and maintain database solutions across various systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing and maintaining database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, triggers and functions in Oracle and MS SQL.
  • Optimizing database performance through query tuning, indexing and monitoring.
  • Ensuring data integrity, security and backup/recovery procedures are implemented and maintained.
  • Collaborating with developers, analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into database solutions.
  • Performing database troubleshooting, issue resolution and support for production systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Database Developer or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server (T-SQL).
  • Strong understanding of database design, normalization and relational modeling.
  • Experience with performance tuning, query optimization and indexing.
  • Knowledge of backup/recovery, security and database monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with ETL processes, SSIS or data integration tools.
  • Familiarity with reporting/BI tools like Power BI, Tableau or SSRS.
  • Exposure to cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud) is beneficial.
