Job Summary:

The Therapeutic Care Worker plays a pivotal role in the lives of female adolescents who have experienced abuse or neglect, providing trauma-informed care and supervision to promote wellness and enhance quality of life.

  • This position involves performing daily operational duties and supervising residents in their activities, ensuring their welfare and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily operational duties and supervise residents in their activities.
  • Assist residents with day-to-day challenges at Dayspring Residential Treatment Centre.
  • Foster discipline and serve as a mentor/role model to residents.
  • Assess, manage, and de-escalate crises or conflicts.
  • Implement individual therapeutic interventions as per care plans developed by the treatment team.
  • Contribute to meeting residents' physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE 'N' Level or equivalent.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth.
  • Basic processing and counseling skills.
  • Familiarity with common trauma and abuse-related issues and disorders.
  • Suitable emotional attributes and resilience.
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for independent and team-oriented work.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude toward life and work.
  • Ability to nurture while maintaining clear, consistent, and firm boundaries.
